Ekdeep Lubana Singh is a Member of Technical Staff at Goodfire. His work falls under the title of “phenomenological theory”, wherein one develops predictive, computational models to express how a system develops and implements its behaviors of interest. To this end, he primarily tends to focus on behaviors related to alignment and safety.

While I’ll be fairly involved in any project we work on, having people with some experience carrying out ML research, sufficient ability to autonomously operate and take the lead on a project, and some proclivity towards fundamental research has been helpful for past collaborations.
